A change of career led Peter Wills to graduate with an H.N.D. in Professional Photography and Imaging after a three year college course.
After spending some time perfecting his art doing freelance work, weddings for family and friends and personal projects  Peter Wills Photography was founded in January 2005.

Since starting in 2005 Peter Wills Photography have gained an excellent reputation for consistently delivering outstanding images for their customers and also for giving fantastic service both before and after the event.
We have established a healthy client base by covering weddings, portraits, events and have a number of corporate clients that has included
Boots Alliance, NHS, Jet garages and Toyota.

Why choose a professional photographer ?

It is reckoned that since the advent of digital photography and the dramatic rise in the number of people going onto further education that there are currently more people studying photography in Britain alone than there are actual photographers required for the whole of western Europe.

Photography courses concentrate on teaching the mechanics of exposing an image properly under controlled situations and are very good for learning about photography itself but they are no substitute for hands-on experience acquired through time.
Furthermore as they concentrate purely on the photographic side of things they offer their students no real guidance on the practicalities or expenses involved in running a business which is why you will often find such wildly differing prices between photographers.

This level of saturation along with digital photography has led to the notion among many people that in order to be a photographer you simply need to pop into your nearest camera shop, buy a camera, turn up on the day, point the camera in the right direction and hey-presto, instant David Bailey,
( or Mario Testino if you want to be a bit more up to date about it )!

The reality is that photography is an art form that can take a lifetime to truly master.
Our clients are too busy concentrating on, (and hopefully enjoying), their wedding day to be overly concerned about the technical ins and outs of our job or how rushed the day can be in order to keep to the schedule.
If however we handed them back a bunch of horribly over/under exposed pictures with half the people from the wedding party missing, lamp posts and/or trees sticking out the top of the top of heads, important shots missed and generally uninspiring, boring pictures they would not be best pleased regardless of the price.

This is not some cheap dig at all aspiring photographers.
We all start off somewhere and improve gradually at whatever job we do however it is very easy to underestimate just how much work, effort and skill is involved in being a good photographer.

Our prices are very reasonable however we cannot match the "guy down the road" who does the £1,000 package for £395.
We can do wedding photography for £395 and we will put just as much care and attention into the same as we would with any job but, ( in the nicest possible way ), it will be £395 worth of photography, not £1,000 worth just so we can maybe buy a new camera in a years time.
